Provisional Cowes Week Entry List
|
The Sigma 33 is a David
Thomas design - and arguably his most popular. The
Class Association still maintains the strict
one-design character of the Class rules in that every
boat is the same even down to the sails. At one time
all the spinnaker colours were the same - red, white
and blue - which made long distance identification a
problem. Thankfully some differences have now crept
in.
The first of the
class was built in 1978 and continued right through to
the early 1990s when over 350 had been made. There are
established fleets in the West Country, Scotland,
Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic and Holland as
well as the Solent. |
