Double Header provides a
weekend of great racing
The re-run of last
years abandoned David Bates Trophy and this years Sigmatic Trophy on
Saturday 20th and Sunday the 21st saw some fantastically close racing and a
very enjoyable evening social.
The David Bates
Trophy was won convincingly by Whippa Snappa on their last outing this
summer. The Sigmatic Trophy was clinched by Shadowfax in a thrilling last
race rounding inside Oxygen to get the first place required to beat Cerefe
overall on the day.
Saturdays racing
was observed by Yachts and Yachting journalist Rupert Holmes and his article

CCYC did a great
job organising the event and hosted a wonderfully relaxed evening in the
club house.
All in all the
double race weekend proved very popular with eight races in 2 days in a
highly competitive fleet - the only regret.... that Fan let Whippa through
on the beat to the finish on race 2 of Sunday - Next time Robina!!!!
