After such terrible weather conditions for the start of
the Warsash Spring series the Junior Offshore Group's first race of the 2004
calendar became a welcome warm-up race to many.
With 4 Sigma33 's entered the race proved to be both
frustrating and tactical, with a flooding tide and light winds the start
line off Cowes proved difficult to be on the right side of, as many boat in
JOG class found.
Those who stuck with the fickle winds, and didn't let
the temptation of rugby get the better of them, were rewarded as the wind
built to a stunning 12 knots by the end of the race.

Surveyor of Hamble, followed by
Knights Challenge, Oxygen having retired.
